About our Platinum Hereditary Health Screening Package
What should I expect from this screening?
This screening program begins with a comprehensive assessment with our genetic specialist followed by an extensive health screening with our highly experienced healthcare assistant and GP.
Please note, these two assessments do not need to take place on the same day.
When the results of these clinical assessments are returned, we will then arrange follow-up telephone appointments with both the genetics specialist and the GP to discuss your results and formulate an appropriate care plan if required.
What tests take place in this screening?
A full systems examination, this involves a review of your cardiovascular, respiratory, central nervous, gastrointestinal, genitourinary and muscular systems and breast examination.
Cardiovascular risk assessment.
Lung function testing.
An electrocardiogram to check the health of your heart.
A full blood screening including a full blood count, liver function testing, thyroid function testing, blood glucose and cholesterol level.
A faecal occult blood screen for bowel cancer if you are aged over 40.
Urinalysis
Gynaecological examination and smear (females only)
Perimenopause & Menopause symptoms management (female patients 40+)
Prostate examination (male only)
DEXA
Mammogram
Pelvic and abdomen ultrasound
CT chest for smokers
Cardiologist review for ECHO +/- Cardiac MRI (as appropriate)
Prostate MRI
Addenbrooke’s cognitive examination for 60+
